Panasonic MC-CG885 OptiFlow Lightweight Bag Canister Vacuum Cleaner
Tags: bag, Lightweight, MC-CG885, OptiFlow, Panasonic
Equipped with a powerful 12 amp motor, this bag canister vacuum cleaner features a 14-inch power nozzle that moves effortlessly from wood floors, to short-pile carpet, to long-pile carpet. Choose from four different height settings or flip the convenient foot switch to “bare floor” to suspend the rotating brushes, ensuring safe cleaning of hardwood floors or delicate rugs. The unit’s 6-foot-long 360-degree swivel hose permits a wide range of cleaning, and its power nozzle releases in a snap. On-board tools come included for effortless detailing and above-floor cleaning. Use the upholstery tool for sucking up dust, pet hair, and crumbs from furniture; the crevice tool to get in between couch cushions or other tight spots; and the upper and lower quick-release chrome wands to access hard-to-reach areas–remove dirt from far back corners or cob webs from the ceiling. Other highlights include a nozzle-overload motor-protection system, a three-stage HEPA filtration system for exceptional dust control, an OptiFlow bag chamber, a mechanical performance indicator, a headlight, and a 26-foot power cord with automatic cord rewind. The lightweight vacuum cleaner measures 19-2/7 by 12-1/5 by 9-2/5 inches.

Great vacuum, only one minor thing I’d change
I’ve been using Kenmore vacs for years, both uprights and canisters. This Panasonic is at least as good as any of those machines I’ve used, and in some ways, better.

Wonderful vacuum, expensive to maintain
We have about half hard floor and half carpet so a canister vac fits the bill well.
This vacuum is a well constructed and well made tool.

A Great Vacuum, But Not-So-Great Trying to Care for It…
Like most of the reviewers here, I must say that the replacement bags for the Panasonic OptiFlow are are somewhat cost-prohibitive.
